Throughout the year (particularly during March, Women’s History month), the Women’s Studies Program at Kent State University sponsors and co-sponsors speakers and events with relevance to students and faculty. In years past, speakers have included Elaine Brown (African-American writer, researcher, activist, and former Black Panther Party leader); Lynn Peril, author of Pink Think: Becoming a Woman in Many Uneasy Lessons; and the well-known second wave feminist author and activist, Mary Daly. Events and speakers are announced in advance on the WMST-L listserv. If you wish to be added to the WMST-L listserv, please send your name and e-mail to slholt@kent.edu.
From the Display Cases during Women's History Month in the KSU Library and Student Center:
The first wave
brought you
the vote
The second wave
brought you
Reproductive Choice and
Title IX (Educational Equality)

The third wave
"What will you undertake?"
