What is a Certificate Program?
• A certificate program is a collection of courses that offers focused instruction in an area that addresses contemporary, topical and/or workplace needs.
• A certificate program usually consists of 15 - 25 credit hours of coursework.
• You may complete a certificate program whether or not you are enrolled in a degree granting major.
• For successful completion, you must maintain a minimum overall grade point average of 2.0 in the courses in the certificate program. Some certificate programs may establish a higher grade point average requirement.
• Recognition of certificate completion is included on your academic transcript.
