(A) Authorization. Authorization for in-state travel will be made by the office of campus life. Authorization for out-of-state travel will be made jointly by the office of campus life and the vice president for enrollment management and student affairs. In addition, all out-of-state travel must be approved by the provost. Authorization will be granted only when the criteria listed below are met.
(B) Criteria for use of university vehicles by student organization.
(1) Only registered student organizations may use university vehicles.
(2) The organization must demonstrate sufficient finances to cover the cost of vehicle usage.
(3) All operators of the vehicle must be registered students with valid Ohio operator's licenses. Passengers in the vehicle must also be students, staff, faculty or other persons participating in official university programs on the campus.
(4) The organization must be sponsored for use of a university vehicle by the office of campus life. Sponsorship will be granted only if the intended use of the university vehicle pertains to the official business of the university and all the above criteria are met.
