Parking Ticket Information
The cost of a ticket is based on the total number of tickets issued to a specific license plate number.
The history is retained as long as the plate is in the Parking Services' database.
- Ticket 1-2, the charge is $15.00 each.
- Ticket 3-8, the charge is $35.00 each.
- Ticket 9 and over, the charge is $50.00 each.
- A Late fee of $5.00 will be added to any unpaid ticket after 7 business days.
- All unpaid student tickets will be transferred to your student account at the Bursar's office if not paid within 10 business days (It IS possible to owe your student account at the Bursar's office AND Parking Services for outstanding tickets).
- A license plate that has been issued 9 or more tickets is considered a "Frequent Violator" and is subject to towing or immobilizing (booting) after the 9th ticket (The status is noted for the violator at the time of the last ticket. These vehicles are subject to ticketing and immediate towing or immobilizing (booting) anytime they are parked illegally in the future).
- Kent Student Center Visitor Lot - if you are issued an IOU to pay the lot fee, and it is not paid within 5 days, the amount will increase to the regular ticket fee based on the total tickets to the license plate according to the above schedule (ex: $15.00, $35.00, or $50.00).
Exceptions to the above ticket charges:

| Displaying an altered or counterfeit permit | $100.00 |
| Parking in a Handicap space | $100.00 |
| Misuse of a permit | $50.00 |

- Red courtesy boxes located on various poles in most of the lots. **Please do not put cash into the courtesy boxes.
