Alternative Transportation Options

Bus - It is easy to get around Kent State and the Kent area by bus. Kent State's partnership with PARTA (Portage Area Regional Transit Authority) ensures reliable transportation that serves the campus as well as the surrounding communities and shopping areas.  For further PARTA information, bus routes, and schedules visit http://www.partaonline.org

Bike, Hike, and Run - The KSU segment of the Portage Hike and Bike Trail is a multi-purpose trail suitable for biking, hiking, running, or walking.  this three-mile trail is a critical connector to Portage County communities, while serving as a key east-west link between major hike and bike trails in Summit and Trumbull Counties.  The KSU segment traverses the campus between Lincoln Street and Dix Stadium.

Carpool - Ride to school or work with a friend or colleague. It might make your commute a little more fun and a little more green!

Walk - Take advantage of the Esplanade and other pedestrian systems around and throughout campus.  Join one of the many local walking clubs.
