Kent State's Lane Selected as Leader in Lifelong Learning

Kent State expert Amy Lane is selected as an international leader among lifelong learning program professionals.

Learning Resources Network (LERN), an international association of lifelong learning programming, has selected an elite group of 10 panelists from North America to share best practices in lifelong learning programs. The continent’s most successful and creative lifelong learning program professionals will share their expertise at LERN’s Second Annual Best Practices Conference.

Amy Lane, executive director of Regional Corporate and Community Services at Kent State University, is one of those panelists. She leads a group at Kent State University that provides training and consulting services to businesses in Northeast Ohio. Amy has built her department from scratch, making it a successful enterprise in just three years. Her team has also contributed to the growth and development of many organizations in the region.

Conference attendees will get tips, techniques and information about how to implement best practices, along with pitfalls to avoid, in many areas of professional development and executive education. The conference format offers interactive sessions and opportunities for individual discussions with the best practices panelists.

The LERN Best Practices in Lifelong Learning Conference is being held at the Westward Look Resort in Tucson, Arizona on April 26-29, 2009. For details about the conference, visit www.lern.org/edctr/in_person/best_practices.
