Kent State Hosts Municipal Clerks Program

What: The Ohio and West Virginia Municipal Clerks Program provides the educational component for municipal clerks pursuing the Certified Municipal Clerk Award and the Master Municipal Clerk Award. Professionals from universities, the public sector and private consulting and law firms provide instruction during the week-long series.

Participants will have networking opportunities while gaining insight on management and legal issues and knowledge of public administration, social issues, computer literacy, public relations and records management.

The program is sponsored by the Ohio Municipal Clerks Association, Kent State’s Department of Political Science through the Center for Public Administration and Public Policy, the Ohio Urban University Program and the College of Continuing Studies.

When: Breakfast begins at 8 a.m. each morning. The program runs from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, October 20-24. The Friday session adjourns at 12:30 p.m.

Where: The program will be held at The Bertram Inn and Conference Center, 500 N. Aurora Road, Aurora, Ohio. For reservations, call 330-995-0200.

Registration Information: Participants can earn 3.3 Continuing Education Units (CEUs).
