College of the Arts Presents Spring for the Arts Week April 19-27 (3/27/08)
Kent State University’s College of the Arts will present Spring for the Arts Week, an event featuring performances and exhibitions by the School of Art, the Fashion School, the School of Music, the School of Theatre and Dance and the University Museum April 19 – April 27.
The week will kick off with a Kent State Creative Arts Festival: A Juried Exhibition of Student Work from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 19 in Rockwell Hall. The festival is free and open to the public.
“Whether you want to enjoy the sounds of Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy and Mass in C Major, performed by the Kent Chorus, or view the visually tantalizing designs featured on the runway during the Fashion School’s 2008 Portfolio show, I feel certain that you will be impressed by what the College of the Arts has to offer,” says Dr. Timothy J. L. Chandler, dean of the College of the Arts.
