When using a Certified Mail Receipt, the sender is able to track mail pieces. The receipt portion of the form should be completed by the sender. The U.S. Postal Service will round date/stamp the Certified Mail Receipt upon accepting the mail pieces.

The receipt portion will be returned to the sender the following day. The bar coded area will remain intact with the mail piece.
