Welcome to all of our incoming international students! On these pages, you will find a wealth of information relating to your preparations for and travel to the U.S. and Kent State University.  Please browse through these pages as you are able, as they are here to assist you with your packing, travel, and planning as your arrival dates approach.

This year, our New Student Orientation is August 21-23, beginning at 8 a.m. in Henderson Hall.  All new international students are strongly encouraged to attend; you will be getting invaluable information at these sessions regarding transitioning to life in the U.S., meeting other students and ISSS staff, and even having some fun (and free food!) along the way.

Please also make certain that you have carefully read through the packet of information that we sent to you with your I-20; this packet contains a large amount of information that is critical to the success of your journey to the U.S.

Finally, as your travel date approaches, try to relax!  It is normal to feel nervous and as if you have forgotten to do something--but please: take a deep breath, look through your packet and the information on this site one more time, and get excited about your upcoming studies in the U.S.!
