The Tech Spot, Kent State University's new computer repair service, is now open to assist faculty, staff and students with the technical needs of their personally-owned computers. Located in the Tri-Towers Rotunda, the Tech Spot’s certified technicians offer software and hardware support.

| Directions: The Tech Spot is located in the Tri-Towers Rotunda, to the left of the area desk. From Loop Road, turn onto Jackson Drive, then take the first left onto Cunningham Drive. Metered parking is available outside of Koonce Hall. |
Our Services
The Tech Spot provides computer troubleshooting and repair. We support the following:
- Network connectivity issues
- Virus and spyware removal
- FlashZone wireless connectivity
- Operating system issues
- Certified computer hardware repair
- Data backup and recovery
- Software and hardware installation
Please note: We provide a full range of support for the hardware and software of most desktops and laptops. Microsoft Windows (versions XP or higher) and Apple Macintosh operating systems are supported. Limited support is provided for Linux-based systems. Please contact our office for specific questions about our services.
Generally, we cannot support the following items:
- Mice and keyboards
- External monitors/displays
- Cell phones and personal digital assistants (PDAs)
- Printers
- University-owned computers and hardware
- iPods and other MP3 players
