KSU Cisco VPN (Virtual Private Networks)
Remote Access to Administrative Systems
To help prevent unauthorized access of sensitive employee and student data, connections to several University administrative systems (see list below) are only permitted from on-campus (by default). However, any employee with a business need may request authorization for off-campus or remote access.
The following services require authoization and the KSU Cisco VPN for off-campus access:
- Internet Native Banner
- Cognos Reporting
- WebFTP (ICSS)
- Document Imaging
Kronos may be accessed through the KSU Cisco VPN by non-classified supervisors; no special request or authorization is required.
Note: Only an approved computer (such as a university-owned laptop) may be used to access these administrative systems from off-campus.
Instructions for requesting authorization:
The employee and his or her departmental security administrator must complete a
Request for Remote Access to Administrative Systems form and submit it via:

Once access has been granted, an e-mail notification will be sent to the departmental security administrator and employee.
KSU Cisco VPN:
Haveing been granted authorization, off-campus access is available through use of the KSU Cisco VPN (Virtual Private Network).
