Message from Willis Walker, Vice President for Human Resources

Welcome to the Web site for the Division of Human Resources. Whether you are a new employee or someone who has been with the university for many years, this site is designed to serve as a resource for some of the most common issues and questions shared by employees. On this site you will find information related to all types of employment, including faculty and staff, full-time and part-time, continuing and temporary.

Please be sure to check our site regularly for updates. In addition, you can always find information on topics of interest.  For example, the Employee Services tab includes an Employee’s Toolbox, with links to many helpful resources like civil service testing, direct deposit, expense reimbursement and more. A similar toolbox is available for managers on the Manger Services page, with resources on university procedures, and reference tools on how to organize, staff, and manage a unit.

I also encourage you to check out the Education and Training tab and browse our course catalog, which describes the various training and professional development opportunities available to all employees.

The division of Human Resources is committed to Excellence in Action by attracting, retaining and developing a community of talented and diverse individuals as part of our workforce. I hope you find this Web site helpful. If there is something you can’t find an answer to, please let us know.  You can contact Carla Wyckoff, HR Communications Manager, at cwyckof1@kent.edu, or send an email to hrweb@kent.edu.
