OneWellU - Wellness for a Lifetime 

The OneWellU - Wellness for a Lifetime workplace health promotion program officially launched in 2006. The purpose of the program is to provide university-wide programs and activities that will assist Kent State employees and their family members in making voluntary behavior changes which reduce their health and injury risks, improve their health consumer skills, and enhance their individual well-being and productivity.

Open Enrollment/Wellness Fair 

When:  Wednesday, Sept. 30,  10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Where: Second floor, Kent Student Center

Before the annual Open Enrollment period begins, come and meet with representatives from the university’s medical, dental, vision, insurance, and other benefits-related vendors for 2010.

Check out the variety of wellness programs available through OneWellU, enjoy healthy treats and get some healthy cooking tips.    

 Register to win a variety of door prizes, including Cleveland Cavaliers tickets, an IPod, gift certificates and more!

Open Enrollment is Oct. 11-Nov. 8 2009. Look for a postcard mailed to your home in early October with details.

 

OneWellU   Walking for Wellness Program - Fall 2009

The fall session of this popular fitness program begins Monday, Sept. 14 at the Kent Campus.  The 12-week program is open to all faculty and staff and runs through Friday, Dec. 4.

Kent Campus

Participants can walk at the Student Recreation and Wellness Center (SRWC) from 11:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.  The cost is $20 for SRWC members and $25 for non-members.

 

Employees of the Kent Campus can register at the SRWC Pro Shop; registrations will be accepted through Sept. 27.  There will be a welcome table in the SRWC lobby during the first week, to hand out gift bags to participants and answer questions.  Pedometers will be available for purchase.  There will also be drawings for various prizes throughout the program and awards for best attendance, most steps walked overall, most weight lost, and most steps walked during walking program hours.

Weight Watchers at Work on the Kent Campus

OneWellU, in collaboration with the Department of Recreational Services, is offering Weight Watchers at Work -- Fall Program.  The 12-week fall session will be held on Tuesdays at 12 noon beginning Sept. 29, 2009 in the Student Wellness and Recreation Center.

We will hold a Registration and Information meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 22 at 12 Noon in the Student Rec Center - conference room B, and you can bring your payment to that meeting.

To host Weight Watchers at Work on our campus, we must have at least 15 paid memberships prior to the start of the first meeting Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009.
