When I try to go to WFS or WFFA, I get the error “access denied” or “external system error.” Why does this happen? Did I do something wrong? Did someone try to access my account and exceeded my attempts?
After 3 unsuccessful attempts for logging in to Pipeline, your account will be disabled. As a security precaution, this discourages break-in attempts by unauthorized persons. Call the helpdesk (330-672-4357) or e-mail support at helpdesk@kent.edu. Your account may be accidentally disabled by a first time user who does not know his/her correct username, such as the case where a username is asmith1, the user may think his/her username is asmith.
Is there a maximum size per attachment that I may send?
Yes, the maximum size for an attachment is equal to your current storage quota.
May I use Outlook, Outlook Express or another IMAP or POP client to read e-mail?
Yes, if you’re an administrator or off campus, dorm students may not pop or use imap at this time. You may set up your client to send and receive your FlashLine mail. You must select IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) as your incoming mail server type. During setup, you must configure your incoming (IMAP) server to be pop.kent.edu. If off campus your outgoing (SMTP) server must be the SMTP of your Internet Service Provider (ISP). On campus, this will be smtp.kent.edu.
If you need help setting up an IMAP Client on campus, please contact KSU helpdesk at 330-672-4357 or email helpdesk@kent.edu. We support Eudora, Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express, but will assist you with other products.
