Information Architecture and Knowledge Management (IAKM)

Kent State University offers a special interdisciplinary Masters program in Information Architecture and Knowledge Management (IAKM) which explores in-depth how to manage effectively the information environment for business, industry, and public institutions.

Master of Science Degree:
• Information Architecture concentration
• Information Use concentration
• Knowledge Management concentration

Students can pursue concurrently the Master of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication and the Master of Science in IAKM or the Master of Library and Information Science and the MS in IAKM. These options allow students to specialize in journalism or library and information science while earning the interdisciplinary IAKM degree and to expand their employment options beyond those traditionally associated with journalism and librarianship.
