Financial Assistance
Qualified students are offered full financial support in the form of research or graduate assistantships. The school offers 12-month graduate appointments to all qualified students on a competitive basis. Approximately 95 percent of all students enrolled in the program are supported on a full-time basis.
Students admitted to the masters or doctoral program are eligible to receive an annual stipend of $16,000 and additionally a waiver of tuition and fees. A health insurance stipend is also available to all students. Awards consisting solely of a tuition/fee waiver are also available. Awards may renewed annually for up to five years, as long as students remain in good academic standing. The cost of living in the Kent area is relatively low, student housing readily available and the standard of living high.
To request considertion for financial support, students need only note this request on the application form for admission into the School of Biomedical Sciences.
