The following is a list of discounts available to Kent State University faculty and staff employees. 

Travel Discounts

• Enterprise Car Rental
  KSU Employees may receive a discount of 5% off the normal car rental rate at neighborhood locations and 10% off normal car rates at airport locations.  Make reservations at www.enterprise.com or contact the local Kent Enterprise office at (330) 677-4447 to make arrangements, or call Enterprise toll free at 1-800-rent-a-car for the location nearest you.  Reference customer code NA39Y01 when making your reservation to receive the KSU employee discount.
  
• Airport Fast Park
  Kent State University has negotiated a special contract rate with Airport Fast Park, Cleveland's best airport parking facility featuring covered parking.  Just use your Frequent Parker Card when entering and exiting.  Click on the Airport Fast Park link to view rates, enroll and to see other amenities offered.  With the Frequent Parker Card, Airport Fast Park is offering a discount called "Five After Five!".  If you are staying on the lot more than 5 days, starting with the 6th day, your daily rate AFTER 5 days will automatically decrease to $5.00 a day!  This offer will automatically be programmed into the Frequent Parker Card.
  
• Personal Travel Arrangements
  Kent State University has an exclusive arrangement with Traveline for all university related travel.  Traveline also offers discounts to Kent State employees for personal travel arrangements.  Contact Traveline's Willoughby office at (440) 946-4040 to request information about your discounts for Kent State employees for personal travel needs.
  

Computer Discounts

• KSU Apple Store
  Faculty, staff and students of Kent State University are eligible to receive discounts on Apple Computer hardware and software products.  Contact the KSU Apple Store at (330) 672-2120 or via email at applestore@kent.edu.  The Apple Store is located in the Art building on the Kent campus.
  
• Dell Computers
  KSU employees and students receive up to a 10% discount and special promotional items from Dell.  Visit the KSU IT Client Services Helpdesk department website at http://helpdesk.kent.edu/hardware to view the recommendations and guidelines for purchasing.  For assistance or more information, contact Jonathan Negrey by phone at 800-274-7799 ext. 7245356 or send an email to Jonathan_Negrey@dell.com.
  

Entertainment Discounts

• Kent State Athletics
  Kent State faculty and staff are eligible for athletic discounts on season tickets for football and men's and women's basketball.  Employees can take advantage of this discount through the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and purchase season tickets through payroll deduction.  For more information on discounted ticket prices and the payroll deduction option, please contact Joe Carr - Athletic Ticket Office Manager by phone at (330) 672-2244 or by email at jcarr19@kent.edu.  Information is also available on the website at www.kentstatesports.com under "ticket information".
  
• KSU Ice Arena
  The KSU Ice Arena offers discounts to employees, as shown in the following rate tables:
  
  Per Session Admission

Season Discount Passes
For the avid skater, the arena offers season and ten-skate passes.  A ten-skate pass allows admission to ten public skating sessions at a 20% discount.

Book Store Discounts

• Kent State University Bookstore
  The Kent State University Bookstore located in the Kent State Student Centers offers KSU employees a 10% discount on text books and a 15% discount on clothing, trade books and soft goods.  (NOTE: The employee discount does not apply to computer accessories, CD's, movies and health and beauty merchandise.)  Present your KSU ID card when checking out and request the KSU employee discount.
  
• DuBois Bookstore
  The DuBois Bookstore located at 332 South Lincoln Street offers a 10% discount to KSU employees on general merchandise (excluding text books).  Present your KSU ID card when checking out and request the KSU employee discount.
  
• Regional Campus Bookstores
  Ashtabula, E. Liverpool, Salem, Stark and Tuscarwas campus bookstores all offer a 10% discount on all books and all KSU merchandise to KSU employees with a valid KSU ID.
  

Other Discounts

• Bolind's Staples
  Employees will be emailed a "Customer Appreciation" coupon postcard periodically throughout the calendar year offering a 12% discount on personal purchases made at Staples' retail stores.  Print and present the coupon postcard at the time of purchase at your local Staples store.
  
• DeWeese Health Center
  You can purchase over the counter products from DeWeese Health Center at a reduced rate.  Employees can also get their prescriptions filled at DeWeese Health Center using their Caremark prescription card.  Easy and convenient.  (NOTE: Not all prescriptions will be available.)  The phone number for the pharmacy is (330) 672-8254.
  
• ExtraSpace Storage

• Firestone Complete Auto Care
  Firestone Complete Auto Care is located in historic downtown Kent at 202 E. Main St. Call (330) 673-1700 to schedule an appointment.  You must let them know you are a KSU employee when scheduling and you will need to provide your KSU ID at checkout.  Click on the Firestone Complete Auto Care link to see their flyer and to print valuable coupons offering discounts on oil changes, tires and everyday services. 
  
• Flynn's Tire & Auto Service
  Flynn's Tire & Auto Service, located at 1897 St. Rt. 59, Kent, OH offers a 5% discount on tires and a 10% discount (up to $25) on service.  Call (330) 673-8473 to schedule your appointment and indicate you are a KSU employee (or student).  Present your KSU ID at checkout to receive the discount.
  
• Hotels
  Several area hotels offer discounts to KSU employees with a KSU ID card.  The Procurement website, http://www.kent.edu/procurement/areahotelsksurates.cfm will provide you with the hotel names, addresses, phone numbers and rates.
  
• Household Moving Services for University Employees

• KSU Alumni Association Member Discounts
  Many discounts and benefits are available to any KSU alumnus who is a member of the KSU Alumni Association.  Alumni Association members can save up to 40% on movie tickets and up to 38% on movie rentals nationwide, as well as discounts on Broadway theatre shows, theme parks, sporting events, family events, online shopping, gift certificates, seasonal ski tickets, and much more.  To learn more, visit the KSU Alumni Association website at: www.ksualumni.org/MembershipBenefits.
  
• Montrose Auto Group Preferred Customer Program
  The Montrose Auto Group (the official auto group of Kent State Athletics) provides a special Preferred Customer Program Card for all Kent State University employees.  Discount savings are available on the purchase or lease of vehicles, parts, service and collision work.  Montrose also offers employee discounts on cellular phones.  Call Rick Pawlak at (330) 697-7700 or email him at rpawlak@montrosemobile.com for information.
  
• University Press
  Kent State University Press offers a 20% discount on KSUP books to KSU faculty, staff, students and alumni.  Discount is redeemable on orders placed with the Press either by calling their order fulfillment center at 800-247-6553 or by visiting the website at www.kentstateuniversitypress.com.  Website orders must include the code KSU20 to receive the discount.
  
• Valvoline Instant Oil Change
  Valvoline Instant Oil Change, located at 403 E. Main St., Kent, OH offers a 20% discount to university employees with a valid KSU faculty/staff ID.  Call (330) 677-0122 to schedule an appointment.  Make sure you tell them you are a KSU employee so you can get the discount.  Valid ID must be presented at checkout.
